Brittain Rausch Busted After Drunk Crash Injures Motorcyclist in College Station

For most small-town farm boys, they learn fro an early age to stay on the farm when hitting the hooch. But, for the one pictured here, he dared to be different. in return, being different landed Brittain Rausch in jail. Police have charged the Anderson, Texas resident with Intoxication Assault with a Vehicle Causing Serious Bodily Injury as well as Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm. And for those of you wanting to ask about the unlawful carry in a gun-toting state, it is illegal to have a firearm on hand when committing a crime.

According to College Station Police, 32-year-old Brittain Rausch ran a red light at William D. Fitch Parkway and Victoria Avenue. An eye-witness told police that when Rausch ran the light, he hit the back of a motorcycle, forcing the bike into another vehicle. The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries, including a fractured skull, cracked sternum, brain bleed and multiple fractured ribs.

Police say Rausch admitted on scene that he had consumed multiple beers before the crash. Officers also found a firearm inside his truck, where he was the sole occupant. He is currently in Brazos County Jail on a $14,000 bond.
